On Good Friday, April 14, 2017, prior to the establishment of DISCON, Mr. Tayo Faloye, was able to fulfill a promise he’d made the previous month by paying a visit to the home of a 12 year old Sickle Cell Anaemic boy,
Stephen, who was on admission at LUTH in March and needed blood transfusion. His mother cried out to the public for help when they couldn’t raise the balance of N90k after coming up with N110k of the N200k needed for his bills.
He saw the SOS post on the Facebook wall of one of his contact and contributed his quota to support the hospital bill of the boy, with a promise to also visit him later at LUTH. Not being able to break free to fulfill his visitation promise till the boy was discharged from hospital. He contacted his parent for their home address and journeyed down to Ojota to check on the welfare of Stephen and know how he was recuperating. He met the family (Stephen, his siblings and mum). The dad who was out. And, Stephen had completely recovered, looking well, fit and full of life.Attached are the visitation pics and that of when Stephen was on admission.
Better late than never, they say.
To God be the glory!
