Re: Save A Toddler's Life
Recall we brought to the notice of the public the story of a three year old Sickle Cell Child, Al-Ameen Shoneye, who is down with a Stroke and needs over N1m to be transferred to a ICU and get suited urgent medical attention?
The GOOD NEWS is that we have been able to raise N520, 000 from kindhearted individuals who responded to our distress call for help. We wish we could mention names but they had informed us they would rather remain anonymous.
Al-Ameen's treatment has hereby been intensified following the donations gotten so far. He will be undergoing a CT Scan of the Brain this week before being moved into an ICU. This is in accordance with the expert recommendation of his medical personnel. His father is constantly in touch with us, forwarding receipts of drugs purchased, tests carried out and updating us on issues as they arise for accountability.
This donated amount is astounding, especially at a time there seem to be trust issues following the activities of fraudulent persons, which have led to some degree of apathy to the scourge of Sickle Cell Disorder and the debilitating health challenges it's victims go through. We cannot but thank you all enough for still yielding to our call for help, reposing your trust in DISCON by putting your hard earned money to support and show love to this toddler, a victim of Sickle Cell Disorder.
To you all who showed concern, shared our posts, rallied and prayed for Al-Ameen, we equally appreciate you too. Abs Ideraoluwa Oladapo, thank you for bringing this case to our notice. You have been awesome in the battle against SCD so far. Only God can reward you.
However, there's still work to be done in ensuring to keep Al-Ameen alive and stable. The money realised is still a far cry from what is needed for his total recovery and stabilization. You can still support this cause by donating any amount you can muster into any of the accounts provided earlier or inbox us, if God touches you to do so.
On behalf of "Disability & Sickle Cell Organization of Nigeria (DISCON)", we are on bended knees profusely saying thank you all for your kindhearted gestures toward Al-Ameen.
AL-AMEEN SHALL LIVE!
God bless
